Omega Pediatrics is seeking an organized, compassionate Scheduling & Patient Care Coordinator / Lead Medical Assistant to support patient access, clinic flow, and high-quality care across our pediatric practice. This hybrid role combines healthcare scheduling and patient-care coordination with hands-on leadership of medical-assistant workflows. You will help families access care while coordinating closely with providers, front-desk staff, and clinical teams. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate patient appointments, provider schedules, same-day access, follow-up scheduling, reminders, referrals, and care-coordination tasks. - Communicate professionally with patients and families by phone, portal, and other practice channels. - Maintain accurate patient information and scheduling documentation in the EMR/practice-management system; protect confidentiality and follow HIPAA standards. - Reduce scheduling gaps, no-shows, bottlenecks, and avoidable delays; identify practical workflow improvements. - Support patient rooming, documentation, clinic flow, and day-to-day clinical operations as needed. - Oversee, coach, and support less experienced Medical Assistants; promote quality, safety, professionalism, and patient satisfaction. - Partner with providers, MAs, and administrative staff to keep care organized and efficient. Qualifications - Healthcare scheduling, medical-office, call-center, patient-coordination, or Medical Assistant experience preferred; pediatric experience is a plus. - Strong attention to detail, communication, follow-through, leadership potential, and ability to remain solutions-focused in a busy environment. - Comfortable with computers, EMR/practice-management systems, scheduling tools, and phone systems. - Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
